Susan McGillivray
Her return to Vancouver in 2004 was a true source of inspiration, and the discovery of a new environment brought her great joy and renewed energy. Her work is strongly focused on lighton how it infuses her subject, whether it be a landscape, a still life, or an urban scene. She makes regular visits to Montreal and Toronto, where the connections she maintains remain deeply rooted.
Whether perceived in the moment, from memory, or imagination, with each brushstroke, she seeks to awaken a sense of respect for this beautiful planet. Color is her passion, and it inspires her to interpret beauty and reveal the magic of everyday reality.
