Lina Vandal

It was in 1999, after a career in advertising, that she decided to devote herself more fully to painting. The human body and face quickly and unequivocally became the central focus of her artistic exploration and the sole subject of her interest, due to the emotion they evoke in her. Her approach seeks to express and share that emotion.

To achieve this, she worked for a long time exclusively with live models, captured in the moment. The vigorous, raw lines that emerge from her paintings reflect the intensity and emotion she experiences and embodies during the act of creation.
